Singapore, 28 July 2019 – China Taiping FunRun 2019 is back for the second year in support of The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (“STSPMF”). Organized by China Taiping Insurance (Singapore), 100 percent of the proceeds collected from the FunRun registration will be donated to the STSPMF.
The FunRun has two categories: 5KM @S$38 and 10KM @S$45. The routes stretch across the scenic and iconic landmarks at Marina Bay, Gardens by the Bay and Marina Barrage. Flagging off from the Marina Bay event square were Madam Zhong Manying, Economic & Commercial Minister-Counsellor, Embassy of China, Mr. Anthony Tan, Deputy CEO, SPH, Ms Tan Bee Heong, General Manager, STSPMF, Mr. Cheng Jun, Chairman, China Enterprises Association (Singapore) and Mr. Yang Yamei, General Manager, China Taiping Insurance (Singapore) Pte. Ltd.. The event saw more than 600 participants including China Taiping Insurance Singapore’s staff, families & friends, business partners, clients, and the public, as well as a group of STSPMF recipients and their parents.
Mr. Yang Yamei, General Manager, China Taiping Insurance (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., said: “At China Taiping, we believe in promoting safe, healthy, and better lives for the community. This is our foundation for growth and our commitment to the community. Through our China Taiping FunRun, not only do we raise funds for the underpriviledged children, we also create an opportunity to run for fitness and for good bonding within our big China Taiping family.”
In addition to the FunRun initiative, China Taiping Insurance (Singapore) encourages its staff to make cash donation with a dollar for dollar matching by the company. “Children are our greatest assets and they deserve our support to unleash their full potential, especially those from low income families. I am humbled by the strong participation of our staff and business partners in supporting our charity drive. Together, we can make a difference to the children in need in the community,” Mr. Yang remarked.

为《海峡时报》学校零用钱基金筹募善款

新加坡，2019年7月28日 – 2019年中国太平健康跑为公益再次发力，旨在为《海峡时报》学校零用钱基金献上爱心。本场慈善健康跑由中国太平保险（新加坡）筹办，募集的所有善款全数捐入《海峡时报》学校零用钱基金。
本次健康跑全程共分两段，分别为5公里（报名费S$38）与10公里（报名费S$45）。跑道全程横跨滨海湾、滨海湾花园和滨海堤坝三大市中心地标，花园城市的怡人美景尽收眼底。
中国驻新加坡大使馆经济商务公使衔参赞钟曼英女士，报业控股有限公司副执行长陈康威先生，新加坡中资企业协会会长程军先生，《海峡时报》学校零用钱基金总经理陈美香女士，与中国太平保险（新加坡）有限公司总经理杨亚美先生出席了本场活动，并于滨海湾活动广场主持开跑挥旗仪式。活动共动员600余人，比去年首届报名人数增加一倍，其中包括太平保险（新加坡）旗下职员、亲属好友、商业伙伴、客户与公众。本次特别邀请了一组《海峡时报》学校零用钱基金的受惠者与其家人共同参与。
