Job Responsibility:
Leadership & Underwriting Management
- Report directly to the Head of Department (HOD).
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members through effective delegation, performance monitoring, coaching and ensuring high quality delivery standards.
- Oversee a portfolio of clients and producers to ensure effective risk management.
- Review, check, and approve underwriting decisions made by subordinates.
Business Development & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with producers to drive new business opportunities.
- Engaging intermediaries and business partners to communicate company products and policies, monitor performance, and manage credit status.
- Assist the HOD to Identify, strategize and grow profitable Personal Lines products and segments.
- Conduct market research, competitor’s analysis and market intelligence to support product enhancements, pricing strategies, and new product development
- Prepare new business quotations and review policy renewals; escalate cases to the HOD as needed.
Operational & Client Management
- Support the HOD in overseeing departmental operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Delegate responsibilities to team members and ensure quality and timely delivery of tasks.
- Handle client enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
- Assist in preparing and submitting weekly and monthly performance reports.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Company or the HOD.
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma holder with 8+ years of working experience in the financial sector.
- CGI and HI certifications required.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Personal Lines Insurance particularly in non-motor product development and channel management is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven leadership ability with experience managing and developing a team.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
