Work Injury Compensation Insurance Claims

Please note that employer and injured employee can access the Work Injury Compensation Act claim status via EmPOWER using Corppass (for organisations) or Singpass (for individuals).

Procedures

It is important that employers report all work-related accidents involving their workers to the Ministry of Manpower (MOM). Employers are required to submit a work-related incident report via MOM website and to our Claims Department immediately upon such occurrence.WSH Incident Reporting

The deadlines for reporting the type of occurrence as stipulated by MOM are listed below:

What to report  Reporting timeline 
Where the accident results in death of any employee Within 10 days of occurrence
Where the workplace accident results in any incapacity that renders the employee unfit for work or contracted a disease due to work exposure to biological or chemical agent, resulting in any one of the following:
  • Outpatient / hospitalization leave
  • Light Duty
  • Occupational Disease
Within 10 days of occurrence

Failure to report a work-related accident is an offence which carries a fine of up to $5,000 for a first-time offence, and a fine of up to $10,000 and/or jail term of up to six (6) months for subsequent offences.
