Job Description:

  • To assist the team lead of the IFRS 17 project in the implementation of the Life insurance accounting standard for the Company.
  • Assist in the coordination of activities between the different teams (mainly IT, Actuarial and Finance), as well as with Taiping Group.
  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, by demonstrating a deep understanding on the regulation and the resulting requirements, contribute to the production of position papers to document key assumptions chosen by the Company and help keep key decision makers informed of issues that may become important in the medium to long term.
  • Understand the data flow in the source systems, in order to extract the data required for the implementation of the new Standard.
  • Managing key stakeholders including Taiping Group, to communicate key findings and status update on the project
  • Successfully execute the projects assigned to achieve strategic objectives – management of key performance results with the new accounting Standard.
  • Assist the team leads to review the new work process and controls with the new systems and work flow.
  • Be the point of contact for business stakeholders on IFRS17 project deliverables and progress
  • Provide regular progress updates to senior management and stakeholders
  • Any other tasks assigned by the company

 

Requirements:

 

  • At least 5 years' experience in existing Life Insurance professionals with core system, good knowledge of relevant IFRS 17.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Insurance or equivalent.
  • Well experience with eBao Tech Life system latest version.
  • Bilingual in English and Chinese (to be able to communicate effectively with English and Chinese speaking associates regarding assigned tasks)
  • Good working knowledge of accounting and financial aspects. Strong analytical and PowerPoint skills.
  • Well experience in working with source systems data extraction and investigation.
  • Knowledge of insurance (or financial services) operations.
  • Experienced and qualified in project management.
  • Experience in End to End Life insurance IFRS 17 financial reporting environment.
  • Comfortable working with uncertainty, highly adaptable.
