Job Description:

  • Work closely with the Head of Life Insurance Operations to develop and implement sound claims adjudication processes to ensure proper risk controls over the claims function. 
  • Responsible for adjudication of all Life claims.
  • Process all Life claims within the stipulated turnaround time.
  • Handling of claims enquiries from customers and business partners within stipulated turnaround time.
  • Work closely with Underwriters and Customer Service team in the handling and fronting of early claims.
  • Perform reviews on claims related matters in product summary, FAQs, policy contract wordings, treaty interpretation and negotiations.
  • Review and update the claims SOP manual in a timely manner.
  • Create and keep claim forms up to date
  • Provide user requirements on claims module in core system for purpose of system enhancements and new product launches and perform the respective UATs.
  • Attend to claims mediations and adjudications at FIDReC (if any) and all audit claims.
  • Conduct claims training for internal stakeholders and business partners.
  • Policy servicing work (ie. processing of non-financial and financial PS requests).
  • Any other projects/work assigned by the Head of Life Insurance Operations

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum a Diploma / Degree in any discipline
  • Professional qualifications such as LOMA, M5 and M9 will be an added advantage
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant Life claims experience
  • Sound knowledge of medical conditions, insurance laws and regulations
  • Great initiative, drive, and ability to work well independently and effectively in a team
  • Highly adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced challenging environment
  • Customer centric with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
