Job Responsibilities
- Assist the Actuarial department in reinsurance work, and some actuarial reporting and valuation work
- Person-in-charge to manage the reinsurance arrangements for Life business. This includes maintaining the reinsurance system, ensuring timely settlement of premiums and recoveries, and providing support to other stakeholders on reinsurance matters (e.g. retention review exercise, etc).
- Assist the team to conduct experience studies, formulating suitable basis for valuation and pricing assumptions. This includes but is not limited to strategic asset allocation review
- Assist to develop, maintain, and ensuring the actuarial models used for the above activities are accurate, efficient and well documented
- Assist in any ad-hoc actuarial investigations and corporate initiatives from time to time.
Job Requirements
- 2-4 years’ experience in Life Insurance valuation or reinsurance roles. Having knowledge of Singapore statutory reporting (RBC 2), reinsurance arrangements or SAA review work will be an advantage.
- Experience or knowledge in Prophet modeling is preferred but not a must. Candidates will be given on-the-job training as necessary.
- Good Microsoft Excel and/or Access skills
- Excellent technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Intends to seek Actuarial qualifications
- Self-motivated and positive working attitude
- Strong communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as ability to cultivate good working relationship with various stakeholders.
