The role holder is an essential member of the team responsible for execution of effective and efficient finance operational processes with appropriate accounting and financial controls for the Company’s Life business
Perform daily insurance related collection and payment and reconcile these records from the insurance operations system to Oracle Financial System
Check commission calculation and ensure timely & accurate payments to distributors
Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules and reconciliations
Follow up with various departments to actively identify and clear off suspense items
Perform UAT on enhancements or new product launch in systems
Actively look for opportunities/solutions to improve finance operational process with controls
Prepare process documentation and keep it up-to-date
Deputize for the team lead and provide cover to team members, whenever necessary
Participate in projects as and when assigned
Degree/Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, or Business Administration
3-5 years working in a finance operation, preferable from insurance, audit firm or a B-to-C business
Good knowledge of accounting, finance operations, process re-design and improvement
Understanding of insurance regulations and GST in Singapore
